let me tell you mine..
My name is Shaina. I’m 20 years old, a self-taught photographer, volleyball player, artist and proud cat-mom.
I always felt awkward in front of the camera and at one point I even hated it. Once I stepped behind the camera, I made it my goal to make you feel comfortable. My photoshoots are filled with a mix of posed and spontaneous shots. We might go from "kiss her on the forehead" to "pick her up and spin her", it'll never be one of those awkward shoots.
I’m quite down to earth and sarcastic. I love random chats about life, traveling and creating art. When we meet, I can promise you 2 things - you won't be uncomfortable as well as beautiful photo memories that we’ll create together.
MY PURPOSE
As a photographer, my purpose is to capture and preserve precious moments, freezing them in time. Through my lens, I have the ability to transform fleeting moments into cherished memories. My passion lies in capturing the raw emotions, the genuine smiles, and the beautiful connections between people. By documenting these special moments, I help people relive their memories and treasure them for a lifetime.
Where it all started
It's amazing how certain moments can shape our passions and ignite a lifelong love for something. For me, it was when I was around 7 years old, my mom got me a phone that only took pictures. It didn't matter to me tho, I would wonder around my house and the neighborhood taking pictures of the most random things. Until it was my sisters prom, I was 10 years old and my sisters friend had this expensive professional camera. As soon as I took the camera I felt this weird connection like if it was fate with an object? I know, sounds a little funny but I had a blast taking prom photos as a child.
Where i am now
In the past 2 years I've been exploring opportunities to find my find my passion! I started as an intern working with Suni Creative Co. helping them film reels, set up photoshoots, and learn about marketing and videography. i then interned at Handy Bros Home Comfort, in their marketing department, filming reels, creating stories and more! While interning at Handy Bros, I participated in a photography course that they ran, and learned all of the basics there. Currently, I am enrolled in the Business Marketing program at Fanshawe in London.
